Mrs. Zames is proud to be an SHDS graduate, parent, and teacher. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Cornell University, with a concentration in Near Eastern Studies. After receiving her master’s degree from the Bank Street College of Education, she became certified as an elementary school teacher in New Jersey. While teaching fourth grade in public school, Mrs. Zames completed training in Writer’s Workshop at Columbia Teachers College. She joined the faculty of SHDS after moving back to Syracuse in September 2009. She feels it is an honor to be a part of her students’ lives, and on some days still can’t believe how lucky she is to have a job in which she gets to sing, dance, and learn every day with such incredible people!
